However, the Great Whore of Babylon is all through the bible, having its beginning in the book of Genesis. The book of Revelation is dealing with the judgment of the “Great Whore of Babylon”.
But what is the “Great Whore of Babylon” and what is the sin that is judged?
To
understand, perhaps we should look at the life of Jesus. He was not
recognized as the messiah when he was on the earth, because he didn’t
fit the expected profile of what people expected the messiah to be. He
wasn’t the conquering king that liberated the Jews and Jerusalem from
the Romans. How could this man, that was obliviously not a warrior, be the physical liberator of the Jews?
Yet,
his teachings, (or idea’s) are with us today and He is revered as “The
Son of God” by Christians world wide, while the Roman Empire is nothing
but dust and old ruins. The phrase “the pen is mightier than the sword”
is really saying that an idea is more powerful than a conqueror.
So
to understand the "Great Whore of Babylon", and even the "Anti-Christ",
we must not make the same mistake of expecting a certain profile.
Perhaps it is not an earthly organization that you can point a finger at
and say here it is.
For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power (1 Corinthians 04:20). Or could we say in the kingdom of God, His word is power.
Jesus
said take heed that no man deceive you. It is not really the man that
deceives you, but his words or his thoughts. Thoughts come and go we
need to be very careful of which thoughts we accept, for if we don’t we
could be deceived. "Ideas" or "thoughts" are the real power. We can, as
Lucifer, accept a "thought" that "I am equal to God", and
that thought is sin, because it is contrary to God. The acceptance of
that "thought" caused Lucifer to be cast out of the presence of God
(Isaiah 14:13-14).
We
can all agree that if we think that we are going to fail at something,
our chances of success are greatly diminished because we have accepted a
thought of defeat.
The "thought", "idea" or "belief" that Jesus was raised from the dead and is Lord and Savior has the power to transform us into new creatures that will go to heaven and spend eternity with God. If one rejects that "thought", he is not reborn and goes to hell.

A single "thought", or "idea" if you will, has on more than one occasion changed the world we live in.
So
one should not be surprised that the battle for man kind is in the
mind. That’s why Jesus didn’t come the first time as a conqueror and
physical liberator, because that’s not where the battle was. He came to
give man a new "thought" that was far more powerful than simply
overthrowing the, then, ruling Roman government. But we, two thousand
years later, are still talking about what Jesus said.
Now
the revelation of the "Great Whore of Babylon" is realizing where the
battle lies. It’s not a person or organization, per say, but a "thought", an "idea" a "belief".
What could be such an important and powerful "idea" that the Apostle John marveled at? An "idea" that when cast down, all of creation would rejoice?
What could be such an important and powerful "idea" that the Apostle John marveled at? An "idea" that when cast down, all of creation would rejoice?
In Genesis 03:16 KJV God said "Unto the woman he said", I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children" (a curse for sinning);
"and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee." (a command of God).
The revelation of the “Great Whore of Babylon” is the "idea":
“That woman is equal with man”.
“That woman is equal with man”.
The prophecy about the judgment of the “Great Whore of Babylon” is referring to those who have accepted the "idea" that “woman is Equal with man”.
The "great city" is a reference to a great collection of thoughts associated with, and based on new age ideas regarding women.
“Babylon” is the law and the intellect of our time.
“Waters” represent the peoples of the earth.
“Kings of the earth” are the rulers and lawmakers of our time. Who with all their power and might don’t dare to contend with such an “idea”. In fact they prepare their laws to support and defend

"idea" or belief and the collection of sociated "thoughts" that only
become possible as a result of the primary "idea" “that woman is equal to man” are contrary to God.
Understanding
The "idea" that "Woman is equal with man" generates sub idea's to support it:
Anything a man can do I can do. She can have "free love" and uncommitted sex just like a
man.
Virginity is not a virture, a free sex life is a virture.
(Just the reverse of God's word).
Man is not the head of the house,
we're equals. Because there is no "head' and we are partners, I
don't need to stay in a marriage. If we don't agree or I am
unhappy, I can divorce him.
My body my choice: It's my body to do with as I choose. Abortion is now
acceptable, I am not under man's or God's rule.
Jesus said that you can tell the tree by it's fruit. What is the fruit of the "idea" that "woman is
equal with man"?
The fruit of this "idea" has produced staggering divorce statistics.
The fruit of this "idea" had produced a staggering number of abortions.
The fruit of this "idea" has broken homes like never before
The fruit of this "idea" Is free unabated sex, that women practice
now unashamedly.
The fruit of this "idea" has destroyed the "idea" of "motherhood". It wasn't that
long ago that a mother would not get a divorce because
she felt a responsibility toward her children and
her extended family.
The fruit of this "idea" has soiled their bodies, their bodies are not the temple of
God, but their own to tattoo and pierce as they see fit.

The first biblical reference to “The Great Whore of Babylon”
Genesis 03:01 Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field
which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the
woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of
the garden?
which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the
woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of
the garden?
Genesis 03:02 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of
the trees of the garden:
the trees of the garden:
Genesis 03:03 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden,
God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it,
lest ye die.
God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it,
lest ye die.
Genesis 03:04 And the serpent said unto the woman,
Ye shall not surely die:
Ye shall not surely die:
Genesis 03:05 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes
shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
This thought and idea is “ye shall be as God”. Eve took the fruit to be as God. This reminds me of Lucifer’s sin in Isaiah 14:13-14, which is the second biblical reference to “The Great Whore”.
Isaiah 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven,
I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon
the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon
the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
Isaiah 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds;
I will be like the most High.
I will be like the most High.
So
the serpent was Lucifer, and Lucifer was the serpent. And the idea is
“to be equal with God”. From the garden of Eden to the Babylonian era,
Lucifer wanted to be like God, and still does to this day.
Ephesians 5:21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
Ephesians 5:22 For the husband is head (G2776) of the wife,
even as Christ is head (G2776) of the church.
and He is the savior of the body.
The word "head" here is the greek word # 2776, Kephale, (in the sense of seizing, literal or fig.:
Head. Further the coloration by Paul that the Husband is over the wife, and thereby over the children as well, as Christ is over the church is incredible. No one can doubt the intent here. No
one cna claim that they don't understand. And if Christ is the savior of the "body" than the husband must be the savior of his family. Accoringly if the wife is not obeying the husband or she is contending with him, she is disobeying and contending with Christ himself. Here in lies the problem that women face, if she files for divorce, she is saying that Christ is not her head, and that
He cannot make the marriage as it should be and she is equal with man and not under his rule.
Therefore, she is renouncing Christ as Lord and renouncing that God is in control, renouncing the
word of God that the man should be her head.

Ephesians 5:33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular,
so love his wife even as himself;
and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
The word “Reverence” in the Greek is # 5399; “Phobeo” to be in awe of, I.e. revere: be afraid, fear, reverence.
1 Timothy 2:11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
1 Peter 3:1 Likewise ye wives,
be in subjection to your own husbands;
that if any obey not the word,
they also may without the word be won by conversation of the wives;
1 Peter 3:5 For after this manner in the old time, The Holy Women also,
who trusted in God, adorned themselves,
being in subjection unto their own husbands.
who trusted in God, adorned themselves,
being in subjection unto their own husbands.
Peter also points out (1 Peter 3:5) that the wives being in subjection to their husband’s are actually trusting in God
Ephesians 5:22 Wives submit (G5259)yourselves unto your own husbands
AS UNTO THE LORD.
AS UNTO THE LORD.
Ephesians 5:24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ,
so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
Colossians 3:18 Wives submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.
The word “subjection”
in is the Greek word # 5292, “Hupotage” subjection from # 5293,
Hupotasso, to subordinate, reflex, to obey, be under obedience, put
under, subdue, unto, (to, unto), be (put) in subjection (to, unto),
submit self unto.
Here,
Peter is telling wives who have non believing husbands to witness to
them by their being obedient and by their conversation. Thereby, not
condoning divorce, but rather by telling the wife to be a witness for
Christ by her actions.
The
reality of it is this; they are not submitting to their husbands but
unto God Himself. How much should a wife submit to the will of her
husband? As she would unto Christ. If she is contentious if she is stubborn if she wants a divorce, she is doing it unto the Lord.
It
is fit in the Lord for the wife to submit herself to her husband. What
does “fit” mean here? That God planned it that way, His design how a
family should function. God is not a democracy, Jesus submit’s himself
totally to God the Father, we submit ourselves totally to Christ. No one
is voting, no majority rule, no partnership of any kind.
The wife submitting to her husband is a biblical DOCTRINE that has been ignored by the “Church”.
1 Timothy 3:2 A Bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife,
vigilant, sober, of good behavior, given to hospitality, apt to teach.
vigilant, sober, of good behavior, given to hospitality, apt to teach.
1 Timothy 3:4 One that ruleth his own house, having his children in subjection with all
gravity;
gravity;
The word “Ruleth”
in the Greek is # 4291 “Proistemi” to preside, be over, rule. Here it
is clear it pertains to his whole house, wife and children.
1 Timothy 2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over
the man, but to be in silence.
the man, but to be in silence.
